Vladimir Petrov is a tympanist with the Bruckner Orchestra in Linz, Austria. He completed his higher education at Bruckner University in Linz, Austria. He has won first prizes at international competitions and festivals, such as in a duo with Emiko Uchiyama from Universal Marimba Competition in Belgium, where he also won the award for best performance of a mandatory play, the audience award and the Keiko Abe award. He has a rich concert activity with the Wave Marimba Quartet – concerts and participations in festivals in Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Romania, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, China, Japan and the USA.
