As a laureate of important international competitions, Vivi Vasileva is currently recognized as a leading percussionist in Germany. At the age of 15, sponsored by Bavarian Radio, she released her first professional CD. A year later, she was accepted as a student at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, where she graduated from Prof. Peter Sadlo and Raymond Kurfs. Following are awards at the international marimba competition in Paris, Nuremberg, Ingolstadt. At the 63rd edition of ARD, Wettbewerb she won two special awards for her outstanding achievements as the youngest semifinalist. In 2016, she won first prize for her own composition in the “Kulturpreis den Kulturkreis Gasteig München” competition. In addition to her own compositions, Vivi presents many new works written especially for her. Vivi has successfully experimented with various chamber music ensembles, such as Vivi Vasileva Quartet or Duo with guitarist Lucas Campara Genis.
She has given concerts at major festivals in Germany, Brazil, Spain, Ukraine, Portugal, Algeria, Poland and plays as a soloist with various orchestras in Europe, mostly concerts written for her. She has released 2 CDs: “VIVE LA FOLIE” and “SINGIN RHYTHM”.
