First Group

1. Xylophone or vibraphone – one of the following pieces:

2. Snare drum or set up – one piece by:

  • Dobri Paliev – 20 pieces for snare drum and piano in Systematic course for snare drum.

  • Eckhard Kopetzki – Tanz der Paare

3. A piece at choice – up to 5 minutes

Second Group

1. Xylophone or vibraphone – one of the following pieces:

  • Hassan Rzaev – Scherzo
  • Dobri Paliev – Piece
  • Eckhard Kopetzki – Escape from Rio
  • Ney Rosauro – Seven Brasilian Children Songs

2. Snare drum:

  • Dobri Paliev – Krivo horo or Daichovoto (in Systematic course for snare drum)

3. A piece at choice – up to 5 minutes

Third group

1. Xylophone or marimba – one of the following pieces:

  • Dobri Paliev – Scherzo
    (in Systematic course for xylophone, marimba, vibraphone and bells)
  • Ney Rosauro – Choro Bachiano
    K. Larson – Mexican Suite

2. Snare drum:

  • Dobri Paliev – Triumph or Madcap
    (in Systematic course for snare drum)

3. A piece at choice – up to 5 minutes

Fourth group

1. Marimba or vibraphone – one of the following pieces:

  • Rich O’Meara – Restless
  • Eckhard Kopetzki – Two Etudes for Marimba (La Valse or Monogram)
  • Eckhard Kopetzki – Three Songs For Vibraphone
  • Benjamin Wittiber – Marimbala

2. Timpani – etude, piece or part of a concert at choice for 3 or 4 timpani

3. Membrane instruments:

  • Rick Tagawa – Inspirations Diabolique – two parts
  • Dobri Paliev – Moods, part III
  • William Kraft – French Suite

4. A piece at choice up to 8 min.

Fifth group

First round

1. Marimba:

  • C.O.Musser – etude N10, op. 6 , C dur

2. Timpani:

  • Dobri Paliev – Graovsko horo and Krivo horo from Folklore suite

3. A piece at choice for membrane instruments

Second round

1. Marimba – one of the following pieces:

  • Gordon Stout – Mexican dances
  • Ross Edwards – Marimba Dances (2 Movements)
  • Eric Sammut – Four Rotations for Marimba (1 piece)

2. A piece at choice up to 8 min.

B. Ensembles – Duo

First round

2. A. Pape – CaDance

Second round

1. Anders Koppel – Toccata
2. A special piece composed for PENDIM Competition. (The piece will be sent out to the competitors on 15 January 2007.)

Sixth group

First round

3. Snare drum – one of the following pieces:

1. Marimba – one of the following compositions:

  • Joseph Schwantner – Velocities
  • Andrew Thomas – Merlin

Third round

1. One of the following concerts:

  • Ney Rosauro – Marimbaconcerto No 2
